Portugal - Estoril
Circuit Estoril is situated on the outskirts of the Portuguese city of Estoril. Between 1984 and 1996 the circuit hosted the Portuguese Grand Prix, with the World Motorcycle and World Touring Car Championships still continuing at Estoril to the present day.
This 4.2Km long, 13 corners circuit was built on a rocky plateau in 1972, initially hosting only local events. After a massive upgrade programme in 1984, the circuit attained international status. Its primary characteristics are two hairpins, along with major changes in elevation and an unusually long main straight.
Located in the heart of the Estoril Coast - a high-quality tourist area, privileged by both geography and the quality of its services, also offers a wide range of cultural, outdoor and tourist experiences. An extensive choice of over 20 five-star hotels awaits the visitor to the Estoril Circuit! Furthermore, Lisbon, the well-known capital of charm and its almost 2.500.000 inhabitants (and it's Airport) is only twenty minutes away by car, less than 30 Km away.
